ISO has released the new version of the ISO 22000 for food safety management systems. The new ISO 22000 now adopts the High-Level Structure allowing organisations to easily integrate their food safety management system with other management systems like Quality (ISO 9001), Safety (ISO 45001) and Environmental (ISO 14001). At last! After decades of consultation and frustration, ISO 45001 was published 12 March 2018 as the first international OHS management system standard! There will be a three year transition period but most companies will want to adopt the international standard sooner than later.
